Math: Diagnostics
This page is to help students and parents, who wish to have a snapshot of how much the student understands the Math curriculum. To create these documents, I used the BC curriculum guide, easily found online.
The first PDF in each section is more of a list (and a breakdown) of the content that is taught, in addition to the competencies. It's more of a checklist, so that if you are working with a tutor, you can give them the PDF, and say: "my child needs to understand all of these concepts by the end of the year, and I don't exactly know what they need to learn, so can you go through section by section, and help us figure out what to work on?". It's a good way for you to see exactly what they know and don't know.

The second pdf is more like a 'final exam' - it's basically one or two questions per content topic. You could give this to you child at the end of the year, to see how much they have learned / retained. Just a word of caution - it's hard for kids to remember concepts out of context, and if they haven't seen it since the beginning of the school year. This is not an official document - just a starting point, to help you see what they can remember without guidance.
